CHS Guide: Table for Two
A few ideas for someone looking for a romantic dinner with intimate and cozy vibes—or a fun date night dinner with a show!
GO HERE. If you are lucky enough to find availability at R Kitchen – try for seats at the bar. The charismatic chefs’ banter and showmanship in the kitchen will keep you entertained throughout the five course meal, and you will feel more connected to the eclectic music choices. The fixed price is shockingly reasonable and seating is limited – plan in advance!
Whether you’re entertaining a small crowd or en route to a cozy table for two, if you’re looking for the best seafood in town, 167 Raw has you covered. The ceviche and lobster rolls are everything the Yelp reviews are talking about and more. Rumor has it they are opening another location soon. Pro tip: If you’re heading to the East Bay location, be sure to go 20-30 minutes ahead of a time to put your name on the list because there’s sure to be a line out the door. However, if you are wanting the full experience, then sitting on the curb with the other patrons and a cold drink in hand is half of the fun. New location to open in Spring 2019
With darker and classy tavern vibes, this is a wonderful dinner spot. But I suggest going against the grain and take a trip here for lunch. Try the tavern burger—or the shrimp burger for a lighter (but just as delicious) option—and be sure to order a bloody mary with it.
